The embattled Freddie Aguilar may have just gotten himself into deeper trouble with the admission that he has had s*x with his girlfriend, a minor who is just 16 years old.

The admission came from the 60-year-old Aguilar himself in an interview with Cheryl Cosim, Shawn Yao, Twink Macaraig, and Tuesday Vargas of TV5's “Good Morning Girls” on Monday.

Cosim started the interview with Aguilar asking his reaction that his song “Anak” - which made him famous worldwide - is now being used to attack him because of his relationship.

Aguilar said he respect people's opinion, but he also expect people to respect him as well.

He stressed again that he was already with his girlfriend when he found out that she is a minor. “Aatras pa ba ako?” he asked.

Aguilar admitted that he did not let his head overrule his heart when choosing to stand by his love for Jovi. He said that in his past three marriages, he has never used his head when it comes to love. He said it's impossible to use both his heart and head.

He maintains that if he is not Freddie Aguilar and there is no social media, there wouldn’t be any issue. In another part of the interview, he said that if he was an unknown farmer, people wouldn't be talking about his May-December affair.

However, Aguilar said that the issue has further strengthened his and Jovi's knowledge that they are really in love.

The conversation then turned to talks of marriage. Aguilar said that he is waiting to see if Jovi will give up their relationship. He said that if she decided to leave, he would understand but would do everything in his power to get her back since he really loves her.

Furthermore, he said that “we are not talking of marriage now” and that he will wait. Jovi will be 17 this November and Aguilar said that a little over a year from now, they may get married. He revealed that he has talked to a friend who is a judge about them being married.

According to Aguilar, he has also talked to Jovi about the consequences of their relationship. He said that when he tells her that he may land in prison because of their relationship, Jovi says, “Hindi ako papayag.”

When the fact that Jovi is staying at Aguilar’s home in Fairview, Quezon City was brought up in the interview, Cosim said that Aguilar's relationship is not a simple boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. “

She’s staying with you and you have a sexual relationship,” Cosim said.

Aguilar, without reservations, did not deny this. “Yes, we do,” he said. “Kasi I would be a hypocrite if I tell you ‘no, we don’t.’” “That’s hypocrisy. That’s something we should get rid of in this country,” he added.
