Paulo, however, doesn't want to give any more details aside from his admission. After saying he's very happy with dating the TV host-actress, he maintained he wants to keep things private for now.
He has known KC for quite a while now, having worked with her the first time he did an episode with "Maalaala Mo Kaya" about two years ago.
Asked if he was jealous when the TV host-actress was linked to NBA star Chandler Parsons, Paulo answered in the negative because he is really not a jealous guy. Also, KC clarified it was a group date.
Paulo has been very vocal lately regarding his separation from ex-partner LJ Reyes, with whom he has a three-year-old son. Reports have been saying for years that the two have called it quits, but it wasn't until a few weeks ago that the award-winning actor admitted their separation is final.
LJ has been linked to another Kapamilya actor--JC de Vera--although the two already denied the rumors.
Paulo said he has been silent for a long time regarding the breakup with LJ because he wants to protect his privacy and the lives of the people he loves. Asked about the reason for the separation, Paulo said some things just go wrong.
The most important thing is, the actor added, he learned something from that relationship. "Just move on and stand up again."
Paulo maintained he and LJ are friends now even after the breakup. It just so happened that some things went wrong between the two of them. It is neither his nor LJ's fault, he added. The actor also said he wants to remain mum about his family life because he is protecting his son from the negativities that surround the industry he is in. When the time comes that Ethan wants to be part of showbiz already, then that will be his decision. Paulo wants his son to have a simple and normal life.
Whenever he doesn't have work, he spends as much time with Ethan as possible. Paulo doesn't think of this time as his responsibility because he really enjoys spending time with his three-year-old son.
"Well, siyempre, kapag mahal mo ang anak mo, parang ginagawa mo na lang yun kasi gusto mong makita ang anak mo. Makita siyang masaya."
Paulo said he regularly sees Ethan. Meanwhile, the actor shrugged off rumors that he attempted to commit suicide when he learned LJ was dating JC. He was surprised when the rumors came out though.
